Goal
The goal of the conference is to provide information on advances in perinatal care to health care providers.

Target Audience
Physicians, APRNs, nurses, social workers, physical and occupational therapists and all other health care providers of perinatal care.

Objectives
• Discuss the incidence and morbidities associated with premature births, especially the late pre-term infant.
• Describe the evolution of neonatal care and current status of neonatal care in Montana
• Discuss cultural aspects related to maternal fetal medicine in Native Americans and utilization of the "Coming of the Blessing" program during pregnancy and childbirth
• Discuss changes in the newborn screening and follow up programs
• Discuss unique challenges associated with bereavement in the neonatal setting
• Identify the educational value/positive and long term impact of storytelling among professionals

The University of Washington School of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 8.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Benefis Health System (BH09392010) is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Montana Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
